East Carolina Road Racing (ECRR) began in 1980 with the organization of the 3rd Annual Greenville Criterium bicycle races. In 1987, we founded our first running race, the Greenville Jaycees Flat Out 5K. In 2001, ECRR co-founded the Lake Kristi Triathlon, and a new 10K for Greenville. From 2002 to 2006, the 10K became a benefit for ECU baseball coach Keith LeClair. In 2003, we again organized the Greenville Criterium.
From 1999 to 2010, ECRR expanded from organizing 2 races per year to 61,including the Beaufort Road Race, and Leo Jenkins Cancer Center Pink Ribbon 5K. Since 1999, events supported by ECRR have raised over $150,000 for various charities.
We take great pride in the organizing and scoring of running, bicycle, and multi sport events. Runner Satisfaction is very important to us, and we welcome your input on what you would like at future races.
Thanks for visiting our site. We are always eager to help organize new events.
Meet the Staff of ECRR. All have been competitive runners and most still are. Between us, we have almost 100 years of experience in road racing, and know what competitive athletes expect.
